We are Allied Catawba, Inc., a C-corp originally established by IAVO Research and Scientific (IAVO), for the exclusive purpose of developing computer vision (CV), artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML) solutions for workflow process improvements aligned primarily with various transportation segments. Among these, rail systems inspection, maintenance, and associated logistics represent the primary thrusts.
We offer a unique blend of technical and business knowledge.
Collectively, we develop and extend technologies for various industries, many of which were originally created by our parent IAVO. One example is the IAPioneer™ geoprocessing system fielded widely by the U.S. Departments of Defense, Interior, Agriculture, and more. Between them, nearly 5000 IAPioneer copies have been distributed across large parts of the U.S. Government. Subsequently, Allied Catawba leveraged the IAPioneer tools, extended them for similar performance requirements, and thereafter utilized emerging CV and AI methods targeting specialized user needs. Presently the resulting prototype align with process workflow improvements, primarily for use cases tangential to geoprocessing such as transportation systems.
Similar examples include utilizing the Micasa™ software system, capable of using full motion video (FMV) feeds and automatically generating various precise 3D surface content models (i.e., of buildings, structures, and other similarly relevant features) - to include capabilities to track moving objects. Micasa utilizes a variety of learning systems (and is used with the U.S. Army’s Apache helicopter).
Presently, all licensing rights are shared by the companies, with the intent being that Allied Catawba will transition to an employee-owned company as revenues are realized.
